Frequency Domain Array Processor (FDaP)

Array Microsystems

VME Frequency Domain Array Processor (FDaP) is a high-performance arrayprocessor for use in VME-based computers. The board is based on Array'sproprietary DSP technology, which operates at 400 MOPS. Typicalapplications include signal processing, communications, testinstrumentation, digital filtering, machine vision, radar, and sonar. TheFDaP board is capable of performing a 1K complex Fast Fourier Transform(FFT) in 131 microseconds, and multiple boards can be cascaded providing1K FFT in as little as 26 microseconds. The FDaP board can be used by a suite of software tools operating underSunOS, including an assembler and subroutine library callable from C.Companion boards are available that optimize the FDaP to specificapplications including the ability to perform 256 x 256 2-D FFTs at 65frames per second.
